HI from Kansas City,
Thanks Dave, Kathy, and committee for all your hard work. I have been
enjoying the web site. The posts, updates and e-mails
from old friends have been wonderful.
A 50th wedding anniversary will keep me in K.C. that weekend.
I know you will have a good time. Please, don't make my ears burn!
I WILL make it back one of these years. With just a little despair
and dieting, a nip and a tuck, I should be OK.
In January 2001, I retired from the retail rat race. I started playing
organ for church in 1965 at Pitzer Presbyterian Church. In September
of 2001 I retired from church music. Yes, that is almost 40 years.
I miss that at times, but not the meetings, planning, and the politics
of large churches these days. I am really amazed at the number of
people who suddenly know all there is to know about playing the organ.
Meeeeeeeow. I have not played since. I am doing the retired things
old men do. The yard,
etc. We have 2 felines I enjoy, Miss Sills (Bubbles) and Miss
Fanny (Brice). Reading
takes up a lot of my days. After successful eye surgery last summer
I now have 20/20 vision without the specs. Now is that something?
My eyes are perfect, everything else? Well,
enough said. I spend other times on eBay
currently replacing my classical LPs with CDs. Oh, and napping.
You will all have a good reunion. Be safe and I send best
wishes.
