I have been working for Pat (Mrs. George) Montross for over
17 years now. I clean, garden, run errands, type letters, sometimes
chauffeur, whatever she needs done. I'm also her sounding board for
any pet projects which can lead to some lively discussions.
I've been married to Jim Bryan for 33 years. Jim has worked for Grip-Tite
Manufacturing in Winterset for 34 years. Among other things, they
make the components for the Anchor Walls system that is advertised
on TV. He is a Winterset grad, class of '63. We live on an acreage
northeast of Winterset that has been in my family about 95 years.
We have one son, Jason, 32, who lives near Scranton, IA. Jay is a
class of '91 Winterset grad and works for Syngenta Seed Co. at their
Glidden Research Facility. He has been with them for over 15 years,
starting with summers while in school and moving with them from Winterset
to their present location. He's currently looking for a job since
the company re-organized and he'll be out of work June 1st. Jay's
engaged to Dianna Ranfeld from Montezuma and they're getting married
May 21 of this year.
In my spare time I enter sweepstakes on the internet. I've had lots
of small wins but I'm still waiting for the big one - a trip or car.
I also enjoy gardening, traveling, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and spending
time with my family, friends, and my cats.
